Common cold or something else [please help]?

Ok so, on friday I started coughing a lot in school during the middle of the day. I ignored it but then yesterday I got the worst headache and cough. Today I still have a headache, cough, and runny nose. I feel ackey and can barely move. I just got out of the shower and my temp. was 101.4. The highest it went to was 101.9 last night. I took NyQuil the past two nights and it didn't seem to help. I'm 15 and I don't smoke or anything I have a good imune system and don't get sick a lot but the swine flu is going around the town where I live. My mom won't take me to a doctor she thinks it's just a common cold or allergies and the doctors can't do anything about it. So, I'm left here to suffer with a mive headache. Pond fish docile and not eating?

my pond fish at the moment are not really feeding this year, i have a mixture of koi, shubunkins and golden orfes. i have done a water test for nitrite,nitrate,ammonia,etc and they are all in v/good condition but fish are not eating, caught one of the golden orfes which is about 14-16 inches and it felt kind of scrawny for the want of a better word unlike the other fish which had a bit of body to them, any help appreciated.

Either place is very nice. Sorrento and Positano are on the mainland while Capri is an island. I think I would pick Capri if I had to choose rather than visiting both places. They're both pretty touristic, but Capri is very scenic and has the Blue Grotto which is interesting. I particularly like the Garden of Augustus there. If you do go be sure to go to Anacapri on the bus and visit the Munthe villa there. You can also take a lift up the mountain for even more spectacular views.

When I shower i use hot water, and i ume most people do, and in using hot water, the pores get opened. When you get out of the shower your pores are still open, good chance that your pores are more susceptible to getting clogged, so would ending a shower with cold water effectively close the pores and limit skin damage? Ok so i have a fully cycled 10 gallon aquarium un heated(yes i know its kinda small) It has a good filter and light and a gravel ,rocks, 2 tiny terra cotta pots and a piece of driftwood. It has no heater so what is recommended to me must be tolerant to an un heated tank. I don't mind if it is fish or other species for my tank or a combination. So far i have thought of white cloud mountain minnows but what else is available to me. Fish tank cycling with ammonia block?

Hi, i have a 55 gallon fish tank that is currently cycling. I have a wet dry sump (trickle filter) with bio currently on the tank. The filter has a sponge for mechanical filtration, bio for bio, and carbon and ammonia block for chemical. I bought it from my LFS, it is carbon mixed with ammonia block with they say keeps ammonia levels down. My question is can my tank cycle with the ammonia block? Do i have everything necessary for the tank to cycle?

Well when I was 1-11 I was so happy. Everything was so slow goin and I was happy. Now I'm 13 although its not what my profile says. But lately I've been very depressed not clinically just not happy. DOG FOOD RECIPES FOR POOR DOG?

has anybody got any recipes that i can cook for my dog she is 8 years old and for the last 5 years she has suffered from itching on her tummy and tail, she had her glands removed as the vet thought that may have solved the problem, 3 years later she has still got the problem, half her tail went bald and her bottom and sores on tummy, i have been back and forward to the vet and she has had so many antibiotics and steroids that i wont let her have anymore, the vet has now given me a spray of steroid thats new and that seems to help. 3 weeks ago i started cooking my own food for her and have noticed she has been sleeping all night which was rare and her tummy is turning whiter and i can see a slight bit of hair growing back on her tail.I cook lamb mince with carrot potato and a few peas with chicken gravey, chicken and rice but am not sure what else i can give her, i know that a lot of dogs are allergic to beef so i wont use that, but what i want to know is can i give fish and what sort also what vegtables other that what i am giving. I am so happy with the results i have had in 3 weeks of her being on cooked food from me, but i want to see her completely free of her nasty allergy. I would never go back to tin dog food again.

Today my boys whom are 14 and 10 tell me that when they went with their dad for a visit he made them talk to my mother-in-law though they didn't care to talk with her. How Do I install Linux on a system without an operating system currently installed?

I asked a similar question last night but, someone that answered it suggested to re-ask it with more detail. I've been trying to install linux on my old PC. [has all requirements for the distributions i've tried, and it used to run Windows XP but, during a system recovery the whole operating system got wiped] The way through which i've been trying to install linux is with Live Cd's, by placing them in the Cd drive of my old computer and letting the computer boot from that. My computer gets as far as the little screen that asks what you want to do [usually "boot cd" "save to harddisk" "check media" etc.] I choose the install to harddisk option and on all my attempts there is some type of error after this. First I tried Ubuntu which resulted in a squash fs error which would not let me do anything else, next I tried OpenSuse which resulted in many many many errors and it would have different errors everytime I would try to boot with it, although at one point i was able to put in the little command prompt looking thing a command I got from a linux forum that completely cleared my harddrive [still wouldn't let me install the OS but, this tells you guys that my hardrive is empty], last night I tried fedora which booted to a text based screen that also would have errors on it and it wouldn't go ped the text screen [it also comes up with different things every time I try booting with it] So this leads me finally to my question, is this impossible to get working? Is it the fact that I'm trying to install with a Live CD? Should I try to install With Installation CD's? If this is not a lost cause could someone please provide me with some instruction as to how exactly to get Linux [any distribution will do] on my old computer? [I only have blank CD's not blank dvds so the install media has to be either "Installation CD'S" or "Live Cd's" whatever will work. Any help, links, instructions, anything is greatly appreciated. [oh and yes I have tried burning multiple discs of [ubuntu anyway] and doing the little checksum things before install, and I know very little about linux so please speak as though I know nothing about what I'm doing (considering I pretty much dont)]

Twitching keeping toddler awake at night?

My child has always been a wonderful sleeper, but for the past 4 weeks or so, my child has only been sleeping 4-6 hrs a night. We took alway her naps, and she is still only sleeping 4-6 hrs. I have tried to sleep with her the past 2 nights, and I noticed she has involuntary movements while she is in the stage of "almost asleep" that will wake her back up. Then she will read or play with her hair, almost fall asleep, have the same movements, and repeat the process. Today she has been up since 3:15 and I could tell it's bothering her since she is tired and wants to sleep. We have an EEG scheduled in a few days. We have never been the type of parents to have our children sleep with us, so this has been the first time I have slept with her in her bed. Who knows how long she has been having these movements. Has anyone ever had these types of issues or has their children? She's only two and should be sleeping much longer.

People tend to hang around those they are most comfortable with. I'm American and when I studied abroad, most the Americans hung out together. It's just a natural human instinct. It's also possible that they don't feel welcomed or understood by the rest of the student body. My suspicion is that if you keep reaching out to them, they will realize that you are sincere and they will be interested in getting to know you better. Just try to put yourself in their shoes and don't take it personally.

Who else is watching the news in regards to the floods in Queensland? Ive never seen anything like it. It is seriously like watching something out of a movie, its so sad! Why does it take so long for Sepsis to clear up?

My cousin is spending his 24th night in ICU tonight. He was admitted on 11/19 with Septic shock, and has had Multiple organ failure. He was take off of the vent last week and is on the Trache. The NG tube is showing still to this day very dark green stuff coming out. On 11/29 He underwent an emergency surgery and had a 3ft section of his intestine, and lower colon removed. They tried to start him on a feeding tube yesterday, however they said his body is rejecting the tube. I asked the nurse why his body would reject it, and she told me that his intestines are still not working. His liver numbers are still "out of order". On Friday he received 2 units of blood, yesterday he got a unit, and today he got another unit. They said that his colostamy bag has blood in it, and that it may be an ulcer, or abcess. Can you lose that much blood from an ulcer?? Since the surgery, he has made eye contact however, a physicial therapist came to look at him and said that all of his movements are involuntary...

hey everyone, so i was hoping you could help me with an issue im having, on April 17 the Day of Silence was observed, the day before my friends and i went to the principal to discuss it and we were told we couldn't put up posters and aren't allowed to write a small blurb about what it is for someone to read over the announcements in the morning. we werent allowed to do this because the principal didnt want a whole school silence day, and she also said that she has "young kids" in the building, im in middle school grades 6-8, and what i dont understand is why those "very young" kids are old enough to use the word gay and the f word (against gays) and completely understand what they mean, but theyre too young to actually know about gays. In 6th grade i knew about gays and later discovered i am one and always have been, and what i thought about what she told me, i saw so many things that were not right, i mean im in a public school and there are kids in my school who have divorced parents because one of the parents is gay. this is wrong and i wanted some tips on what to do, im going to talk to the guidance counselor about it and see about having a speaker come in to the school to talk about tolerance. Cles begin next week! When I got into middle school, I had no friends, I only had 1 or 2 real friends but they were very unpopular, I looked like a loser with them. I left my kids with my parents to care for my husband while he was in the hospital. It was the best thing for me because I needed to focus my attention on him. It was also the worst thing for my children because they needed the understading of what happened. It created major issues of anxiety in the children and fears they shouldn't have had to face. We finally have them sleeping through the night in their own rooms again. No more nightmares of Daddy beig dead and no more questions of "what if". But it has been a long hard road.

My 21 month old split his head open and received?

My son is 21 months old and he fell tonight and split his head open we took him to the er and the dr. wiped it clean with a paper towel and tap water then told us he needed staples when I teared up she looked at me and said its not that tramatic i let it go being more worried about my son then her ignorance she came back in and had his dad hold him and stapled his wound. She didnt clean it at all no sanitized water no cotten all she did was put on gloves. She gave no antibitoic no cat scan or xray and sent us on our way.
