Can I host a black and white party for my fiance? Or is that too feminine?

I really want to give him a big 40th party. Its still a couple years away and I know by then we will be married. But I need to start now as in renting a place ect. I want it to be nice, he was never given parties as a child so I feel this is a great thing to do. We have alot of friends and will have about 150 people attending. So I thought a hall would be perfect with black and white table cloths, balloons, centerpieces that are manly..lol an open bar w a bar tender, a dj and lots of food! I need to know if this is to feminine...and any ideas as to a black and white party would be great. Thank you
