Does it say anything how much he loves me?

My bf lives nearby and has been the one picks me up most of the time for our dates. Tomorrow he insisted to make my hairdo appt as our date as well. My hairstylist is located about 60 miles away. I didn't think much, believing my bf would pick me up tomorrow. But he just asked me to pick him up instead. I said OK, but I have a little hickup in my mind: he apparently doesn't want to use his car or spend the gas to drive me that far. Well he has been quite generous on our dates, so I probably should not feel bad, just a little wondering whether that says how much he loves me. If he loves me enough, he wouldn't care how costly just being with me right? I hope I am just silly.
