Im scared of high school starting?

Cles begin next week! When I got into middle school, I had no friends, I only had 1 or 2 real friends but they were very unpopular, I looked like a loser with them. One of them already left with another group. I don't know how to make new friends, I'm very shy. The new people coming in from different schools were already friends before they came to middle school. When i try to approach them they give me this weird look. I see them all talking together but I cant join in, I wont know what to say. I suffered form depression throughout middle school up until this day. So i didnt get good grades. I'm joining the football team but afraid that some other kids might say "haha u cant play football". I'll still try. It always looks like they have a lot more interesting stuff to have a conversation over. I don't know how to start one. I hate group work because since nobody knows me, I'm always place in a group with the dumb people and people who cant speak English. Please help i dont want to be stuck 4 years in solitude.
