Communism confusion -- ?

I can't answer your question, but communism is not what is or was wrong with those countries. Totalitarianism is the problem. There is nothing inherently evil about communism, although it seems hopeless on a large scale because it goes against human nature. Evil despots have simply used it as a shield for their crimes against their countrymen.
