How can I feel better about my 2003 Dodge Durango's low fuel economy?

I got a great deal on an imaculately kept, low mileage, used '03 Durango, but the 13-16 mpg gas mileage is a lot worse than I thought it would be. Wife and I can walk to work so commuting isn't an issue, but I'm an economical person by nature, and the idea of using so much gas is depressing. But hey... the bright red exterior, black leather interior, 4WD in MN snow... I love this vehicle, too... see the dilemma?
