How do you know you have bought the right bra?

I bought some like weeks ago with my friend but they don't fit and they r hidden under my bed because my mum doesn't know i went wif my friend to get em.. anyways, they felt comfy at the store but gradually once i left them on for about 10 minutes they rubbed on me, even when i adjusted the straps and band..sooo, help? :s
